The Blagojevich administration on Tuesday awarded a lucrative contract for paring down the state's vehicle fleet to a Reston, Va.-based company that has given more than $20,000 to the governor's political fund. (Link)
Records show that a sister of Governor Rod Blagojevich's former campaign finance manager was hired to run the state's Bureau of Real Estate Professions. Gertrude Kelly of Lake Forest got the job five days after being issued a real estate broker's license. She became an assistant commissioner in the Office of Banks and Real Estate on December First, with an annual salary of almost 92-thousand-dollars. Her brother is Christopher Kelly of Frankfort, who was Blagojevich's campaign finance chairman in 2002. Records show companies that he owns gave or loaned Blagojevich 464-thousand-dollars. (Link)
