Official State IdiotIn my new ad campaign for this site, "Blagojevich of Evil", I describe Free Will as the sort of place where you can join me in waging "holy war" against the Chicago Democrats. Conveniently, the press has prepared several tidbits to help us in our divine Jihad against the Infidel Governor.

Good to know I can always read your blog to feel better about living in Massachusetts.
As soon as I relocate to NH and establish the family compound, you're invited for burgers, beer, and ballistics.

You know what the really sad part about all of this is? Most people in the state know he's a creep, but don't have the foggiest idea about Blogojevich about how far the rot runs.
Keep up the good work Aaron. You're a better man than I am to stare at his corruption for so long.

Blagovich is such an arsewipe even the other democrats are starting to hate him.
I don't look for him to win the next election, he's not dancing quite right when Daley yanks his strings.
God I wish my wife would let me transplant us to Texas...

Aaron, if you think IL is bad under "The Blag", try living in the Northeast. Maine income tax is 7%. Ah, socialist utopia...
At least New Hampshire is relatively sane by regional standards.

And I thought Michigan had it bad with Jennifer Granholm as Governor! After reading for months the myriad of antics by Blagojevich -- heaven forbid -- I'm almost thankful for Granholm...

By the way, according to a recent press release, Team Services just passed the $1,000,000 mark in sponsorship for the State of Illinois. Thought you guys might be interested in an update on that issue. I guess maybe they were worth their salt after all, huh?

Tony: Since this thread is three years old, I've put up
a new post addressing your comment here.
So, if by "on the verge" the Blagojevich administration meant "a full year", and if by "this magnitude" they meant "a pathetically tiny fraction of the predicted revenues", then yes, you could say the program was "worth it's salt". Kindly disregard the original projections, which promised $40 million in the first year (when the original post was written), and $300 million after three (which passed a year ago).
What Team Services actually delivered, deals like a bank sponsoring 'ethnically diverse Christmas trees', are radically and hilariously different from what the Blagojevich administration originally promoted in defending the idea.
It more or less continues in that way.
