Stealing Minnesota IIAmerica Coming Together is sending out emails asking people to volunteer to "vouch" for total strangers who are trying to same-day register.
Update: I should be clear here... "Vouching" is standard practice in Minnesota, and as wide open to fraud as it is, that's still not the real issue. The real issue is that it's
ACT, being investigated in numerous registration fraud incidents around the country, that's doing it.

I recall that this same kind of attempt was made by an organization called "Democratic Socialists of America" to help the late Senator Wellstone!'s re-election effort in 2002. I also remember that same-day registration was the reason that Jesse Ventura won the gubernatorial election in 1998.

This is terribly misinformed.
Vouching is a long-honored and legal tradition in Minnesota. Nobody is "prepositioning" anybody - volunteers that live in the same district can legally vouch for their neighbors.

Chuck: I understand what vouching is
supposed to be, but America Coming Together is subject to dozens of felony vote fraud investigations across the country. As someone in the discussion over there says, if you need someone to vouch for you, just ask somebody, but yes, it's open to fraud. America Coming Together actively seeking out "volunteers", given their record, is a major red flag.
