Kerry Sues Bush Over Use of Vietnam Imagery
The Weekly Standard:
Hands Off My Analogy - Liberals object when Bush discusses Vietnam.
The article is a good read, and notes Hillary's weird contention that the Baghdad surge was designed not to smash new holes in the insurgency (which many Democrats, having visited Iraq, are now admitting that it has), but "to give the Iraqi government time to take steps to ensure a political solution to the situation", which, after about two months, she has declared they have failed to do.

If Hillary is contending that the purpose of the surge is, in fact, to support order for the growth of civil and political institutions rather than to secure military objectives, then Bush's much-maligned invocation of the reconstruction of Japan becomes a viable analogy again, and that did, in fact, take rather longer than a campaign season.

[Two chances is plenty for Q-Bert's trolling from his mother's basement. His current IP bloc, located in Chicago, has been blacklisted, circumventions will be handled similarly. It's too bad, he's borderline literate, unlike so many of his angry co-religionists, and would be able to assemble cogent arguments, if only there were any facts to back him up.]
