The narcissistic personality disorder is strong with this one.
The "powerful forces" and "political lynch mob" arrayed against him might better be described as "the voting public". His defense attorney, Ed Genson, can't even look reporters in the eye when he calls this a "witch hunt", because he knows Blagojevich is, in fact, a witch.
Governor Rod Blagojevich is out there. He can't be bargained with. He can't be reasoned with. He doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And he absolutely will not stop, ever, until the general fund is empty.

The buying of votes in E. St. Louis(I know for sure)and probably hundreds of other economically poor urban cities is decades old. I remember as a MB6-205 little girl, someone knocking on our door in E. St. Louis and offering my mother $5.00 to vote for a particular politician and even offering to pick her up and take her to MB6-206 the polls. I am now 53 and only shocked that politicians think payment for a person's vote is only worth $10.00 dollars MB6-282. Don't they know about inflation. Sorry for the sour humor, but every one in every facet of politics in the State of Illinois, yes including the governor, know poor MB6-283 people's votes have always been bought.
